IBI Corporate Finance (IBI), Ireland’s pre-eminent corporate finance adviser, today announces its acquisition by DC Advisory, the corporate finance arm of Daiwa Securities Inc.

The deal makes IBI the first and only international independent investment bank in Ireland, offering clients enhanced access to international buyers and assets and a pool of nearly 700 bankers in 23 locations.

IBI will benefit from DC Advisory experts across 11 industry verticals, including Tech and Tech-Enabled Services, Healthcare (including Medtech and Pharma), Consumer, Industrials, Infrastructure, and Real Estate – covering M&A, debt, restructuring and strategic advisory.

IBI Corporate Finance was established in 1966, originally as a joint venture between Bank of Ireland, Morgan Grenfell and Schroders and latterly as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of Ireland. The IBI senior management team bought out the business from Bank of Ireland in 2017. IBI employs 28 staff at its office in Fitzwilliam Place in Dublin 2.
